February 2010 Features

Cupcake Frosting

This delightful project bag is shaped like a cupcake. Boned sides and a firm base help it stand on its own and the drawstring top creates the iced top. The side features six appliqué panels. On each panel a cupcake sits on a delicately embroidered stand. Each one is frosted with three delicious layers, dusted with seed beads and topped with a bead centered felt cherry.

This is a LARGE bag and is being used to carry quilting projects, as an overnight travel bag and many other applications.

Rosalind Rouched Tote

This lined carry all with decorative scrunched side is quick to make and looks great in a wide range of fabrics. It may be difficult to stop at just one with some people in my class making five or more in a day!!!!!.

Miniature Aprons

Make these miniature aprons to decorate your kitchen or laundry. Make a few and peg them to a string and you will have a washing line of tiny aprons. Start sorting through your scraps for eye catching combinations of fabric and rickrack.

These designs are easily scaled to use on dolls of any size

Available as a download so you can start making these straight away!

Penelope

Penelope, a fashion model, has been asked to model a new range of hats and scarves for the winter season. She is dressed here ready for her first show in delightful shades of white with splashes of red. Notice her high heals in matching red tones.

In this design you will create a number of accessories including the hat, stole, hat pin, high heal shoes and other items.

Iris

Iris loves dancing & being from the 1920's her favourite is the Charleston. She thinks everything is just the ‘cat’s miaow’. Last week she had her hair cut in a bob, now she’s stocking up on the new Cloche hats that are all the rage.

Features include the design for a hat box. (click image for details & online shop)
